I attended the foundation Botox and fillers course with no previous experience in aesthetics. The course was well presented with an online package followed by practical training. Would highly recommend.

    Who This Programme Is For

    Built around your working week

After the 3-day CAM block, the 8 Face days run on alternating weekends — so local practitioners and nearby-country students complete the Fellowship without taking long periods off work.

    Local & Nearby-Country Practitioners

Medical professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses) who want a structured Fellowship pathway that fits around clinic days and a working week.

    CAM Graduates

Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine graduates continuing into the Face module to complete the Fellowship and earn both certificates.

    Experienced Practitioners

Working injectors with equivalent training who want elite mentorship to refine technique, build confidence, and accelerate career progression.

Fellowship structure: CAM (3 consecutive days) + Face (8 days across 4 alternating weekends over 2 months) = 11 clinical days total. Both the Face certificate and the Fellowship award are issued on completion.

    Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine

Established in 2014, the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine by Harley Street Institute is the world's first and only live clinical fellowship designed to transform beginners and intermediate injectors into confident, advanced practitioners. Over the past decade, it has become the global gold standard in aesthetic training — a programme that bridges the gap between theoretical learning and genuine clinical mastery.

This fellowship isn't about rehearsing on models in simulated environments. It's about real medicine — real patients, real challenges, and real results.

Participants are invited to observe and assist within elite Harley Street clinics, working alongside experts with over ten years of hands-on experience in aesthetic medicine. Fellows witness how consultations unfold with VIP patients, learn how to plan treatments with precision, and receive personalised mentorship throughout their journey.

From Beginner to Advanced — What That Really Means

Many new or mid-level practitioners begin their careers taking 20–30 minutes to perform a single lip filler treatment — hands shaking, uncertain about product placement, and often relying on 12–15 separate injections per lip.

By the end of the Harley Street Fellowship, our fellows perform the same treatment in under 5 minutes, requiring fewer than 8–12 total injections across both lips — with accuracy, symmetry, and confidence.

Why does this matter? Because aesthetic medicine, at its highest level, resembles surgery, every injection must be deliberate, pre-planned, and anatomically strategic. Just as a surgeon maps a procedure before entering the operating theatre, our fellows learn to approach every aesthetic case with foresight, precision, and artistry.

That ability — to visualise and execute with purpose — only comes through repeated exposure to real clinical settings and mentorship from experts who practise daily at the highest level.

What Makes This Aesthetic Fellowship Unique

While many look-alike fellowships have emerged since 2014, there remains only one question worth asking:

Can you actually attend their real working clinic?

At Harley Street Institute, the answer is yes — because our fellows don't learn from staged models or scripted scenarios. They learn from genuine patient experiences, observed and practised within functioning VIP aesthetic clinics, before, during, and after live sessions.

This fellowship delivers what textbooks and model-based workshops cannot — a deep, instinctive understanding of how to treat patients safely, artistically, and efficiently. It transforms practitioners from cautious beginners into refined, decisive aesthetic clinicians ready to excel in any environment.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Duration Of The Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine (FAM)?

The Fellowship is 11 clinical days delivered over approximately 3 months. Month 1 is the 3-day CAM block. Months 2 and 3 deliver the 8-day Face module across 4 weekends (two weekends per month). Optional weekday clinic shadowing is welcomed throughout.

Do You Include Practical Assessments Or OSCE-Style Evaluations?

Yes. Throughout the Fellowship your mentors conduct informal OSCE-style assessments during every live supervised session — observing your injection technique, anatomical knowledge under pressure, patient communication, and complication awareness. These are formative and mentorship-driven, not pass-or-fail exams: they help us identify where you are excelling and where you need more focused practice before you treat independently. Because all assessment happens in-person with real models and direct mentor feedback, there is no online substitute for this component — which is precisely why insurers and clinics value our graduates.

What Experience In Medical Aesthetics Is Required To Qualify For A Place On The Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine Certificate? (FAM)?

The Fellowship begins with the Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine (CAM), which is open to medical professionals new to aesthetics. To progress into the Face module, candidates must have fulfilled CAM prerequisites — these are assessed on an individual basis. Practitioners with existing aesthetic experience are also welcome to apply.

Who Is Eligible To Apply For The Certificate In Aesthetic Medicine?

Our training courses are available to Doctors, Dentists and Nurses.

Is The Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine Better Than A MSc From A University?

Yes, the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine is better than an MSc from a university because many Master's programs lack practical, hands-on experience in actual aesthetic clinics. While some may offer attachments in dermatology departments, these experiences often do not directly translate to comprehensive training in aesthetic procedures like botox injections, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation. Our fellowship program distinguishes itself through mentorship-style training, providing direct, practical learning opportunities essential for developing aesthetic medicine proficiency.

What Kind Of Certificate Will I Receive On Completion Of Training?

On completion you receive both the Face certificate and the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine (FAM) award. The CAM certificate is awarded on completion of the 3-day CAM block. All training certificates are endorsed by Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance.

Will There Be Pre-Course Learning Modules And Assignments & Research / Thesis?

Yes, you will be given access to the online learning modules and assignments for your own self-directed learning.

Is There Ongoing Mentorship After The Fellowship?

Yes, HSI will always help and advise you when necessary. You will be part of a network of our current staff, previous fellows and main distributors. You will be introduced during the fellowship and after to key industry personnel to help you grow your career in the direction you wish.

Is The Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine Only Available In London?

    Presently yes.

I'm In Full-Time Employment Can I Fit The Training Around My Work?

Yes — the pathway was specifically designed for this. After the initial 3-day CAM block, the remaining 8 Face days are delivered over 4 alternating weekends (Saturday + Sunday, two weekends per month for 2 months), keeping your weekday clinics largely intact. Students are also welcome to drop in for clinic observation on any weekday they have free, with a minimum of 2 sessions recommended.

    Does The Training Include Lasers?

The Fellowship certificate does not include lasers. It is possible to add laser modules, at an additional cost.

    Are You Level 7 Accredited?

No, as we have our own standards for training in medical aesthetics that emphasis more on practical mentorship. We have had fellows joining us following completion in level 7 courses seeking further hands-on training.

Do You Have Finance Assistance Available?

    Not at present

    Can I Pay In Installments?

Yes; 25% deposit will secure your place. The remainder must be paid at least 1 month before your Fellowship commences (if there is any outstanding balance 1 month prior to your start date, your place will be cancelled and any payments made will not be refunded).

Are There Any Future Business Opportunities?

Partnership opportunities are something we would discuss on an individual basis and we are keen to train fellows who can help with mutual growth. Our business development manager will be happy to speak with you.

What Is The Cost Of The Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine?

    £14,400 + VAT.

Is A Student Visa/Working Visa Necessary? (For enquiries from abroad)

Not always. Please check your requirements.

    Can You Arrange Accommodation?

We will guide you to short term lettings agents and local hotels within easy reach.

I Am Not A Member Of The GMC Can I Inject At Your Clinic?
