    Requirements to apply

    We licence a small number of trainers per market. Applications are assessed against these standards before certification begins.

    • A licensed aesthetic physician, surgeon, dentist or equivalent regulated prescriber — GMC, GDC, NMC or your national medical or dental council registration.
    • A minimum of two years of independent aesthetic injectable practice, with a caseload you can evidence.
    • Access to a suitable clinical training space that meets local hygiene and safety regulation, plus reliable access to consenting models.
    • Current professional indemnity insurance covering both clinical practice and the training of other practitioners.
    • Written commitment to HSI quality standards: delegate ratios, assessment integrity, complication protocols, record keeping and periodic audit.
    • Working professional English for the trainer certification; the practical day may be delivered in your local language.

    How do you become a Botox and filler trainer?
    In practice you need four things: current registration as a doctor, dentist, nurse or prescribing practitioner; at least two years of independent injectable practice; an accredited curriculum and certificate your delegates can rely on; and indemnity that covers teaching as well as treating. Most practitioners have the first two and stall on the third and fourth. The HSI Global Trainer Licence supplies the accredited curriculum, the CPD-approved online modules, the assessment bank and the certification, so the only thing you build is your local teaching practice.
    Do I need a teaching qualification to train aesthetics?
    No formal teaching qualification is required in most jurisdictions, but a defensible training structure is. HSI trainer certification is self-paced and online: it takes you through room setup, model selection and consent, injection order, delegate supervision ratios, complication drills and how to assess and sign off competence to our standard.
    How much can a licensed aesthetics trainer earn?
    You set the delegate fee for your market and keep 75% of what you collect; HSI retains 25% for accreditation, quality assurance, certification and platform hosting. With a cap of six delegates per trainer on practical work, your income is a function of your local pricing and how often you run days — not of a franchise fee, because there is no upfront licence fee.
    Is the HSI trainer licence recognised in my country?
    HSI accreditation is CPD-based and internationally portable, but it does not override national regulation. Delegates receive an HSI-issued certificate and CPD/AiCE points recognised across many jurisdictions. You remain responsible for confirming that delivering injectable training is lawful in your country and that your delegates hold the professional registration your regulator requires.
    What is included in the online modules for my delegates?
    Facial anatomy, botulinum toxin pharmacology and dilution, dermal filler rheology and placement, patient assessment, consent and documentation, complication recognition and emergency management, plus the end-of-module assessments. Most delegates complete 5–8 hours of pre-course study before your practical day, so your three to four hours are entirely hands-on.
    How much does it cost to become a licensed trainer?
    There is no upfront licence fee. HSI is paid only through the 25% revenue share on courses you actually deliver, which means we are only paid when you are.
    How is quality maintained across trainers in different countries?
    Every trainer completes the same certification, teaches the same curriculum and uses the same assessment bank. Delegate feedback is collected centrally, certificates are issued only after assessment, and trainers are subject to periodic audit including sample video review of practical sessions.
    How many delegates can I take on a Foundation Day?
    Practical ratios are capped to protect safety and outcomes: a maximum of six delegates per trainer for injectable practical work, extendable with an approved co-trainer or assistant.
    Do I set my own course price?
    Yes. You set the delegate fee for your market. The 75/25 split applies to the fee you collect, so pricing for local purchasing power is entirely your decision.
    Can I train non-medical practitioners?
    No. HSI practical injectable training is restricted to registered healthcare professionals. Online theory courses may be taken more widely, but the hands-on Foundation Day is limited to regulated clinicians in line with our training eligibility policy.
    How long does the application and certification take?
    Applications are typically reviewed within ten working days, including verification of registration and indemnity. Trainer certification is self-paced online and most applicants complete it within two to four weeks, meaning you can be delivering your first Foundation Day inside a couple of months.
