A focused practical course in masseter Botox for two of the highest-demand indications in modern aesthetic and dental practice: aesthetic jawline slimming and bruxism management.
Designed for registered medical and dental professionals — proper anatomy, palpation, dose logic and complication awareness, taught with one supervised live treatment.

Masseter Botox sits at the intersection of aesthetics and function. It is one of the most-requested treatments by patients who want a softer, more oval lower face, and it is also the single most useful pharmacological intervention available to dentists managing bruxism, masseter hypertrophy and certain forms of temporomandibular pain.
Done well, it is a deeply satisfying treatment with predictable, durable results. Done badly, it produces smile asymmetry, paradoxical bulging, accidental risorius weakness and patient regret. The difference is almost entirely a matter of palpation, depth and dose logic — and that is exactly what this course teaches.
Online theory takes you through the surface and deep anatomy of the masseter, the relationship to the parotid duct and the buccal branch of the facial nerve, and the dose ranges for both aesthetic slimming and bruxism. The in-clinic practical at our Harley Street facility is then dedicated entirely to one supervised live treatment per delegate, with consultant-led palpation coaching at the chair.
This module is part of the broader Oro-Facial Pain Botox Course. If you prefer a theory-only path first, the online Masseter Botox course is open to beginners with foundational Botox training.
The masseter is a quadrilateral muscle with a superficial and a deep belly, both of which contribute to bulk in hypertrophy and both of which need to be addressed for an aesthetic slimming response. We teach palpation against clenched teeth, the safe injection rectangle bounded by the anterior border, the inferior mandibular margin, the posterior border and a horizontal line through the lobule of the ear.
Aesthetic patients want a visible reduction in bulk; bruxism patients want symptom relief. The doses overlap but the rationale and the counselling differ. We cover where to start for each indication, when to add a touch-up at four weeks, and why bruxism patients sometimes need a maintenance schedule that is not simply driven by appearance.
The buccal branch of the facial nerve and the risorius muscle sit anterior to the masseter's functional belly. Inject too far forward and you risk a unilateral lateral lip weakness that lasts the duration of the toxin. We teach the anatomical and palpation cues that keep your needle inside the safe rectangle.
When superficial fibres are weakened but the deep belly is left untreated, patients can return at four weeks with a visible bulge on clenching that they did not have before. We cover the assessment, the corrective dosing, and the consent language that prevents this from becoming a complaint.
Practical training is restricted to registered healthcare professionals. Proof of registration (GMC, GDC, NMC, GPhC or equivalent) is required at booking.
