Policy
Archiving & Preservation
Aesthetic Intelligence is committed to the long-term availability of its published content. Every published article is intended to remain available, at its original URL, in perpetuity.
The publisher operates three independent preservation layers:
- Publisher mirror. The HTML and PDF version of record is stored on the publisher's primary infrastructure with daily encrypted off-site backups.
- Internet Archive (Wayback Machine). Every published article URL is submitted to the Internet Archive at the time of publication and on every subsequent significant revision.
- Distributed preservation. Once a Crossref DOI is registered for the article and the journal meets the relevant eligibility thresholds, content will be deposited into a distributed preservation network (CLOCKSS or Public Knowledge Project PKP PN).
URL Stability
Article and issue URLs do not change after publication. Where a URL must be updated for operational reasons, the previous URL is permanently redirected to the new location.
Cessation Plan
In the unlikely event that Aesthetic Intelligence ceases publication, the publisher will deposit a complete static copy of the journal with the Internet Archive and, where eligible, with a distributed preservation network, ensuring continued open access to all published content under the same CC BY 4.0 license.
